LeddarTech was launched in September 2007 following a successful spin-off from Canada's leading optics and photonics research institute, INO - Institut National d'Optique by 3 experienced entrepreneurs with strong complimentary backgrounds in engineering, business development and corporate financing. The unique and patented LEDDARTM technology represents an evolution in sensing applications due to its innovative approach and ease of integration within LED lighting modules.

Management Team
Marc Tremblay, Ph.D, P. Eng: President & CEO
In 1996, following 4 years as professor in Electrical Engineering Department at Université Laval, Marc founded a high-tech start-up as president & CEO and was successful in raising $ 5 Million in investment. The successful start-up company was specialized in machine vision and was acquired in 2000 by the largest US publicly traded robotic organization.
In 2005, as a technology consultant, Marc identifies a promising technology that was patented by INO. He teamed-up in 2007 with two partners and co-founded LeddarTech.
Marc received his degree in electrical engineer from l'École Polytechnique de Montréal and completed his Ph.D. degree at Université Laval in Quebec City. Marc is a professional engineer with l'Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.
Yvan Mimeault, P. Eng, MBA: Vice President Product Development & Technology
Following his participation in a successful start-up company as chief technology officer in 1995, Yvan was hired by INO (Institut National d'Optique) as a researcher and eventually managed the Electrical Department during 9 years. Subsequently to this experience, he was promoted within INO's Business Alliances Group analysing market trends related to the optic and photonic industry while gathering market intelligence. His vast knowledge of detection systems enabled him to co-invent the LEDDARTM technology while employed at INO.
Yvan is a Professional Engineer with l'Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec and holds a degree in electrical engineering. In addition, he holds an M.B.A. from Université Laval.
Dave Gilbert, P. Eng, MBA: Vice President Sales & Marketing
Following a military career, Dave was employed by Prevost which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Volvo Bus. Being promoted rapidly, he held several positions notably as Supply Chain Director for the parts & service division for the entire North American network. Dave has had the opportunity in forging excellent relations with top tier-1 suppliers in the automotive industry.
Cumulating his experience at Prevost, he was promoted to Business Line Development Director due to his strategic understanding of the market and his entrepreneurial approach.
Dave holds Mechanical Engineering degree from the Royal Military College and a MBA from Université Laval. He is a member of l'Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.
